The 2019 Boston Marathon will be a very special event for the city and the sport, and we are continuing the tradition of volunteering at the event!  The morning shift will include setting tables and helping prepare to serve food and beverages.  The afternoon shift will be serving dinner and providing entertainment for the thousands of athletes completing their preparations for the event.  For your time, you will also be given an official volunteer jacket and a ticket to the post-race party from the Boston Athletic Association.
Online volunteer registration opens on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  The BAA has set aside 50 spots for our group, and we exceeded that number last year so please register early.  That being said, the BAA is relying on us and cancelations/no-shows greatly impact our ability to volunteer going forward so please be ready to commit.  Friends, significant others, and family are welcome to join!  

To register, click here to access the morning online application, and click here to access the afternoon online application.  Choose between registering as a new volunteer or log-in with your BAA Volunteer Loyalty Number.  Select that you are a GENERAL volunteer.  Complete your personal information and navigate to the next page.  Choose “join an existing group” when prompted, select “Wellesley Alumnae Morning” OR "Wellesley Alumnae Evening" depending on your preference and enter the pass code “wcaboston”.  Complete the rest of the application and submit, making sure to complete the process by obtaining an on-screen confirmation number.  Please note the registration deadline is February 6th, 2019.
