From religious commissioned art and Academy hierarchies to Impressionism, there were seismic changes in European art. We will choose examples of paintings and sculptures from the 12th through the 20th Century to give you a sense of how these movements impacted artists, techniques and history.
Given by an Alum who is an Associate Guide and experienced Gallery Instructor, this tour will provide opportunities for closer examination of the works, as well as some time for discussion to build visual literacy skills and art appreciation. Join us for this wonderful opportunity to soak in some intriguing masterpieces at the MFA Boston!
Note: Member tickets are free, but recommended that attendees arrive 20 minutes early to get tickets
